On September 25 – October 1, 2020, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Bilingualism and Dialogue of Cultures: Challenges of the XXI century" will be held in Parma. Russian Russian School of Leo Tolstoy (Milan), the Association "Russian House – Italy" and the University of Parma are the organizers.

The International scientific and Practical Conference "Bilingualism in the modern world: challenges of the XXI century" will be held from September 25 to October 1, 2020

Friday, September 25 – Milan, check-in
September 26, Saturday – Milan, methodological issues of working with bilinguals and Russian foreign schools (master classes, open classes at school and kindergarten, round tables)
Sunday, September 27 – Milan/Parma, excursion program (events on the topic of the conference are being specified)
September 28, Monday – Parma, opening of the academic part, plenary session, work of sections
September 29, Tuesday – Parma, work of sections
September 30, Wednesday – Parma, master classes and author workshops on RCT, open classes in groups with students
Thursday, October 1 – departure
Russian Russian and foreign scientists, teachers of universities, colleges with teaching Russian as a foreign language, teachers and heads of Russian foreign schools, Russian lyceums and gymnasiums with the study of the Italian language, teachers of bilingual kindergartens, practitioners, methodologists, public figures, doctoral students and undergraduates interested in the issues of natural and educational bilingualism are invited to participate in the conference, as well as methods of teaching foreign languages, parents of bilingual children. Literary critics, literary translators, teachers of foreign literature at the university and school, historians of Russian literature are invited to participate in the literary section.
The working languages of the conference are Russian, Italian
, 4 sections are planned to work at the conference:
1. Educational bilingualism and RCT (in Russian): Russian Russian for tourism, business Russian, short thematic courses for professionals (for example, 20 hours for hotel rooms), current methods and techniques of teaching RCT in adult and children's audiences, organization of independent work of students with a limited number of hours, work in non-standard groups (multi-level audience, groups without an intermediary language, large groups), Russian for tourism, business Russian, short thematic courses for professionals (for example, 20 hours for hotel employees), students-students, preparation for TRKI, preparation for participation in the Erasmus program in Russia for students of non-linguistic faculties, language practice, double diplomas, employment of graduates with Russian language;
2. Educational bilingualism and Italian as a second language (in Italian): current issues of teaching Italian as a foreign language at university and school;
3. Dialogue of Cultures: literature (in Russian and Italian with translation): topical issues of teaching literature of the studied language at the university and school;

Natural bilingualism and actual problems of functioning of Russian foreign schools of additional education (in Russian): Russian Russian Russian Russian foreign language course content, teaching spelling (correction of phonetic writing), bilingual reading circle, teaching the world, history and mathematics in Russian, current problems of bilingualism study, diagnosis of bilingual speech development, age norms of their speech development, work with speech therapy problems, methods of teaching Russian to natural bilinguals, the content of the course "Russian language" in a Russian foreign school, spelling (correction of phonetic writing), the circle of bilinguals reading, teaching the world, history and mathematics in Russian foreign school, testing and certification.
Round tables and panel discussions:
1. Topical issues of testing Russian as a foreign language for children and adults;
2. Topical issues of bilingualism. The problem of self-identification and choice of the native language (on the issues of parents of bilingual children and teachers-practitioners);
3. Adaptation or authenticity? What to read in RCT lessons.
Thematic presentations and various master classes are also planned.
