The goal of the textbook is to describe geographic discoveries of the Russian pioneers and scientists and their historic significance in an entertaining way.
The book contains twenty four texts with the tasks, aimed at the development of the oral speech skills and extension of vocabulary of the students. The material of the reader is designed in such way that each text can be selected and studied separately. Texts are not interrelated.
