This book is devoted to some important aspects of Russian word formation - verbal and nominal.
The book includes information about the semantics of verbal prefixes, prefixal and prefixal-postfixal word-formation, verbal word-formation chains, classification of prefix verbs by sense groups, and information about the most productive models of nouns and adjectives with suffixes. The coursebook contains a variety of exercises aimed at practicing the skills of using productive word-formation models that are active in speech, and enhances comprehension of Russian texts.
The textbook is designed for students studying Russian at B1-B2 level, and is suggested for teacher-led work. However, it can also be used for self-study, since most of the exercises are accompanied by keys.
