The book considers didactical fundamentals of teaching Russian as a foreign language in the educational establishments of various types. The idea of learning a foreign tongue is based on the intercultural paradigm which implies an interconnected learning of language and culture.
The authors cover the main issues of didactics of the foreign language learning, the essence of didactics of teaching Russian as a foreign language, the subject and goals. Types of didactics are described as well as their link with other sciences. A new notion of “intercultural didactics” is introduced. The book introduces the intercultural paradigm of education and its components, gives didactic description of intercultural communication competence of a student.
