The textbook is devoted to the questions of communicative-syntactic theory which is of paramount importance in working out methods of teaching word order in the Russian language.
It is shown that the factors defining word order in word combinations and sentences and functions of the Russian word order are more complicated compared to the languages with the fixed word order.
Typical mistakes in the word order made by foreigners in the written speech are analyzed and interpreted. The system of exercises is provided to work on the problem.
