The purpose of the «Learning to Live in Russia» manual is to help foreigners who are going to or have already arrived in Russia to master the necessary communication skills in real life situations - at the university, in transport, on the street, at the post office, at the bank, on vacation, etc. A distinctive feature of the material offered in the book is its practical orientation and consideration of contemporary Russian realities.
The training manual can be used in Russian universities as an accompanying course to the program of the second semester of the preparatory faculty, as well as a corrective, accompanying or main teaching aid in the framework of undergraduate and graduate programs for foreign students of all areas and profiles of study.
The manual will also be useful for people living outside of Russia and learning Russian outside the language environment and Russian reality.
In the course of working with the manual, students get the opportunity to consolidate and develop the competencies necessary to pass the exam in Russian as a foreign language at the TRFL-1 (B1) level, and to a large extent master the lexical and grammatical material of the B2 level, gaining the skills of its practical use in specific life situations.
The manual equally pays attention to the development of all types of speech activity.
Each section contains structured grammatical material presented in the form of tables and diagrams. At the end of the manual, a «Grammar Commentary» is given, which is convenient for generalizing and systematizing the grammar of I and II certification levels (B1 and B2).
Audio materials, illustrations and tests are available for download and viewing via QR codes.
