The textbook is a component of the Russian as a foreign language teaching complex ‘Russian Language Today. Elementary Level+ (A1+)’ and is intended for adult learners.
It is an intensive, communicatively oriented course that gives you the opportunity to master the main lexico-grammatical topics in a short period of time and, on their basis, not only to understand audible speech and written texts, but also to express your thoughts competently in written and spoken Russian. The complex contains material that slightly exceeds the requirements for the Elementary level. For example, a greater number of case meanings are given, paradigms of adjective endings in the indirect cases of singular adjectives are given for passive learning. The meanings of verbs of motion, some syntactic topics and the volume of lexical units are also expanded. Thus, the authors labelled the level of Russian language proficiency achieved by the students as Elementary+ (A1+).
