The book is the second part of a series of environmental study guides for bilingual children studying Russian as part of extracurricular education abroad. The manual is intended for pupils aged 8-9.
The aim of the textbook is to develop the children's speech and subject competences in new situations of speech communication and using an integrated approach to learning.
The structure and content of the book is a logical continuation of the first part, while offering teachers and students new ways of working on the topics of the world around them. The book introduces a transversal storyline and characters, making the learning material more engaging. The range of topics to be explored is widened: ecosystems are discussed (using forest and body of water as examples), the water cycle in nature, natural zones, the solar system, geographical maps, and much more. Much attention is given to the socio-cultural role of communication.
The book is designed to be studied for one school year (1-2 hours per week). It can be used not only for teacher-led classroom work, but also for home reading with parents.
