Language-Didactic Biographical Dictionary
The Language-Didactic Biographical Dictionary contains scholarly biographies of well-known scholars, mostly our contemporaries, whose works have had a significant influence on the development of Russian language didactics — the theory and practice of teaching Russian (as a native, non-native and foreign language) and of teaching foreign languages — both methodologists and representatives of related fields of knowledge (pedagogy, linguistics, psychology, cultural studies). The entries give information about the main stages of each scholar's life and work, the dissertations they defended, their areas of research, the courses they taught, their international activity and their public recognition. Each entry also provides a list of the scholar's principal works and a list of works about their academic activity and contribution to scholarship.
The dictionary is addressed to students, postgraduates, researchers, teachers and everyone interested in the teaching of languages and cultures.
